Welcome to the West Ghent Civic League Website

West Ghent is a vibrant, urban neighborhood defined in Article II of the WGCL BYLAWS as "that area North of the Elizabeth River, West of Hampton Blvd, and south of the railroad tracks bordering Jeff Robertson Park in the City of Norfolk, Virginia."

The West Ghent Civic League
Membership Drive &
Oyster Roast
Saturday Oct. 11th from 5-8PM
at The MHI Pavilion
Please join the WGCL for an afternoon of delicious Eastern Shore oysters and socializing with your neighbors and friends.

The event is free to paid 2014-2015 WGCL members which starts 7/1/14, and $15/non-WGCL families. Soplease go to the WGCL website and join today at westghent.net if you have not renewed for this year.  We do ask that families bring an appropriate side or appetizer to share. Also if you have  heavy duty gloves and oyster knives, please bring them along.
It would be great to get an approximate count of how many may be coming, and also how many oyster eaters we should expect. So please RSVP to membership@westghent.net if you plan to come with your name, address, and number of oyster eaters (we will assume the others will be eating hot dogs and/or hamburgers).

Thanks and we hope to see you there,
The WGCL Board
The MHI Pavilion is located at the end of Claremont Ave.
